Phineas glanced over at his seventeen year old brother with a grin, a blush covering his cheeks as he examined every detail of Ferbs body.
Ferb turned to speak to him and Phineas immediately looked away, his blush darkening.
Ferb grinned as he wiped off his hands. He was well aware that his brother had a crush on him. He liked Phineas too, but he was unsure what to do. What would people say? What would their parents say?
Phineas nervously cleared his throat
"What were you saying Ferb?"
"Oh, I was saying the car is fixed and we can go now"
Phineas nodded and stood, and Ferb noticed that as soon as they were near a huge grin crossed the redheads face and a soft sigh escaped him.

Phineas glanced at Ferb out of the corner of his eye as they drove and grinned softly, his heart skipping a beat. His mind immediately went elsewhere, daydreaming up a place he could be where Ferb reciprocated his feelings, and everyone was okay with it. There was screeching brakes and horns honking, and he snapped out of his daydreaming. Ferb was muttering about some moronic driver as he made the turn and Phineas sighed, reality crashing down on him.

After a moment he realized the car had stopped. He looked curiously at Ferb, and the Brit was silent for a moment before looking over at him
"You okay Phineas?"
"Yes. I'm fine" Phineas grinned reassuringly
Ferb nodded and pulled out of their parking spot and as Phineas looked out the window, his heart skipping a beat. 'Ferb checked on me, even though nothing bad happened' his mind trilled.
When they arrived at the beach Phineas' favorite song came on the radio and he climbed out of the car hurriedly, turning it up as loud as it could go. Ferb climbed out slower and was yanked into a spinning dance with Phineas. Phineas grinned at him, baring his teeth, and Ferb couldn't help but grin back. When Phineas released them to go get their stuff Ferb waited until the redheads whole upper body was inside the car until giving an uncharacteristic squeal and spinning around a few times.

Phineas grinned when he spotted his brother spinning, immediately dropping their stuff and running over. When Ferb noticed before he could comment the redhead yanked him into a dance. They spun around countless times, both grinning like fools, and both had to struggle to keep breathing when they saw the joy in each others eyes and the huge smiles they wore.
Phineas' mind was racing, wondering if Ferb was feeling the same as he was as they spun around, their feet moving soundlessly in the sand.

The next morning Phineas woke up and couldn't help but frown as he saw that Ferb was gone. He stood, but noticed a note on his pillow.
"Hey Phineas" he read "I had to run out, but I'll be back soon, don't go crazy, from, Ferb"
Phineas sighed heavily and fell back onto the bed, a smile gracing his lips as he thought of his brother.
He walked downstairs and when he saw his father silent on the couch, head in his hands he immediately remembered what day it was. Grief weighed down his heart and he walked outside to get some fresh air. Taking a seat on their front steps he noticed a flower, sticking up between the cracks of their pavement path. A soft grin crossed his lips
"Well aren't you special" he whispered, leaning forwards and picking it. He lifted it and smelt it, and grief weighed down his heart again. It was a buttercup. His grandfathers favorite.
He heard footsteps and looked up, and immediately the grief weighing down his heart vanished as Ferb approached. Phineas stood and held out the flower. Ferb stared at it curiously before smiling and taking it
"Its a sidewalk flower" Ferb looked confused "It was growing in between the sidewalk" Phineas explain "Its special. Just like you" Before Ferb could even process the last part of what the redhead had said, he had gone inside. Ferb stayed in silence before holding the flower to his nose and sniffing softly.

Phineas woke up the next morning and to his surprise he was sin Ferbs bed. He was shocked for a moment, until he remembered why. He then wrapped an arm around Ferb and sighed softly. He heard Ferb chuckle and opened his eyes, offering Ferb a huge smile. Ferb grinned back, and their alarm went off, turning the radio on. The radio blared one of their favorite songs and Phineas immediately pulled Ferb out of bed and spun him around the room.
"quite the wake up call, huh?" Phineas grinned
"I could get used to this" Ferb grinned

"Listen... Phineas..."
"Yea Ferb?"
"I... I need to tell you something...."
"I'm listening"
"I... I love you... I don't know how o live without you" Ferb whispered, taking his brothers hands in his own
Phineas started at his brother in shock before grinning
"I love you too, Ferb"

Ferb leaned forwards and sealed his lips to Phineas'. Phineas immediately kissed back, and when Ferb broke the kiss a goofy grin crossed his face and he fell backwards off the bed.
"Phineas?" Ferb asked worriedly as he peeked over the edge of the bed "Are you okay?"
"Perfect Ferb" Phineas breathed, his eyes far off and the goofy smile still in place "Just Perfect"
